Sorry For the Hiatus

Hello all. I’m so sorry I haven’t posted anything since Thursday. I’ve been unexpectadly out of town longer than I thought, and then yesterday lucky me caught the stomach virus going around. I’ll post soon, but in the meantime, I hope this finds you well and not going too crazy getting ready for the holidays. Take good care of yourselves.

  1. Just take care of yourself, Lynn. This is a very hectic time of the year, and it drains our energy, even when we're feeling well. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your kind comments. Since you also write, you probably can imagine what it's like trying to retrieve lost material. It's impossible to recreate it in the same way, so I have to shift gears a bit.

As for the book–it'll be a while, but I plan to hit it hard after the holidays. I have a writing friend who did the NaNoWriMo (sure I spelled that wrong) last month and got an amazing amount of work done, but her focus was pretty amazing. I have a lot of distractions–grandkids (will have nine in January). I love to be with them, so they are blessed distractions that I welcome.

Are you still working on one (a book that is)? This writing thing is hard. I thought it would be so much easier once I retired, but I can't say that's been the case. Take care, and have a wonderful, peaceful holiday.

  3. There's a magnet on my refrigerator featuring a 1950's- looking bikinied starlet exclaiming happily: “I'm only one stomach flu from my goal weight!”

I'm alot further away than one stomach flu, but I very much enjoy reading your blog. Hope you're feeling better soon 🙂 Tina

  4. I sure hope you are feeling better soon so you can enjoy the holidays quickly coming upon us. Take good care and my wishes to you for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. I love reading your blog, check for updates most every day!
    Lynn P.

  5. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm feeling much better today, but I'm still avoiding my family so as to not get them sick for Christmas.

Jane, the book is in the hands of my agent. She'll be resubmitting it to publishers after the first of the year. Thanks for asking! Good luck recreating those chapters.

Tina, I love that magnet! A friend of mine sent me a similar one after I had knee surgery that says, “Medicated and motivated.” So true.
